January 4th: come on, back to it!

Work, school and similar, today's the day for a lot of us, unless you're one of the lucky few who've really cracked it and get to make all the decisions. Someone like Peter Jones, with his nice socks, good hair and charitable foundation for forgotten children. Now, talk about hero inspiration ...

Oh dear, distracted already! I wanted to show you what my lovelies put in my stocking this Christmas:

That's four calendars, two diaries and a box of exquisite stationery. So no excuse for missing anything now, eh? It's all covered, including son's Egyptian day (must make outfit for disemboweling exercise etc), football club (buy, wash and label new kit), visit still neglected relatives and friends (will involve at least two cups of tea - will avoid cake), INSET days, dentist, garage ...

What on earth made me think I was going to write flat out for six weeks?
