Embrace Books to close

Just over a year ago I had The Call from Embrace Books and Storm's Heart was published on Valentine's Day this year. Sadly, the decision has been made to close the imprint in the very near future. The paperback of Storm's Heart still appears to be available on Amazon, but I don't know how long it will be there, so grab it while you can!

I am considering which avenue to take with regards to Storm's Heart when my rights revert, but have a number of projects on the go to keep myself busy, never fear!

It's been a non-stop year and the school holidays have come at last. We all need to recharge our batteries and I need to tackle the teetering TBR pile - this is just the tip of it!:

I'll be back next week to tell you what I've been up to. Do you have anything special planned during the summer break?

Thanks for that,Rebecca. The writing will never stop, and certainly hasn't done since Storm's Heart was 'acquired'. Watch this space,as they say! XX

Embrace is to close? Oh dear! Glad to hear you're writing though Rachel, we need a new book from you soon!

Well, my exciting thing planned for the summer hols is of course birthing this baby...

And waiting to hear back from publishers etc. Got some editing to do to and decide what to enter into the New Voices competition.

But really what I want to do most, is gaze at my newborn baby, so hurry up already Markus ;-)

And I clearly have lost the ability to string coherent sentences together...

I'm sorry that the Embrace closure will mean that Storm's Heart gets taken down, Rachel. But I'm positive that with the number of rave reviews you have received, it will get snatched up very quickly elsewhere!

All the best getting through that mountain of books. Looks like fun!

What a shame about Embrace Books. I hope you find a new home for Storm's Heart before too long. Enjoy your TBR pile!

Doris, I can't wait to see a pic of lovely Markus either! Good luck with New Voices, part of me is glad I'm not eligible to enter this year, the tension gets unbearable. There's a second book written and 'out there', so fingers crossed i might have some news soon. ;0)

Thanks for the very kind comments, Madeline. I've finished two of the books on the TBR pile already and it's doing me a world of good!

It's a terrible shame about Embrace, Rebecca, you're right, but that's the way things go sometimes. X

Sad, sad, sad day. It's all very depressing. But I guess it will have to be onward and upward for both of us.

Keep in touch.

No doubt see you at an RNA party in the future. At the drinks table.

Let me know if you ever need an endorsement or whatever. Always happy to help.

Thanks, Teresa, I have stuff up both sleeves and tucked into my knickers!

Thanks for popping by, Jane, and for the offer of help - I'll certainly take you up on that! See you by the bottles of red and the dishy waiter in November. :0) XX
